I am a writer and literary critic based in Toronto, Canada.
My first novel, In the City of Pigs, will be published by Dundurn Press on June 14, 2022, and I am also the editor of After Realism: Twenty-four Stories for the Twenty-first Century, an anthology of short fiction published by Véhicule Press on April 1, 2022.
I have written journalism and literary criticism for a variety of publications in Canada and the United States, including The Walrus, Maisonneuve, The Globe and Mail, and Southwest Review, and am currently working on a non-fiction book about propaganda for Biblioasis. I am always looking for opportunities to cover new fiction and non-fiction (specifically non-fiction that deals with aesthetics and politics), and I also take on freelance ghostwriting projects. If you’d be interested in hiring me in either capacity, please do get in touch.
“Funny, mysterious, completely unpredictable, and never didactic”
– Naben Ruthnum, in praise of In the City of Pigs
